Mariposa Vacation Homes is proud to offer Surf and Yoga Camps several times of year. You may elect to participate in both surf and yoga, just surf or just yoga.
The dates are as follows:
Aug 28-Sept 4, ’17, May 22-29, ’17, June 5-12, ’17, Aug 21-28, ’17
Prices start as low as $ 999- per person for the week (7 nights) including ground transportation to and from Tambor airport, lodging, continental breakfast, 1 yoga class per day, 1 group surf lesson per day, board rental, access to beach cruiser bikes and a 1 hour massage or canopy tour.
Please note that we need a total of 3 students minimum per camp
Mariposa Vacation Homes is proud to offer Surf Camps through some of the most qualified instructors in the area, and members of the Santa Teresa Surf Association. Our preferred providers are Surf Rescue Certified and have over 15 years of surfing experience in Costa Rica, and own a surf shop with over 80 boards, bikinis, board shorts, rash guards and gear. Instructors speak fluent English, Spanish and French.
Mariposa Vacation Homes is also proud to support the local Lifeguard program.
Surf Camp lessons are usually held right in front of the property or within a very short walking distance (@ 100 m) depending upon changing ocean conditions.
Individual and small group lessons are available for up to 4 adult students or 2 children per instructor. Rash guards are included in the price of the class.
Classes last approximately 2 hours. First you will learn about surf safety and theory briefly on the beach (safety rules, location, technique, first take off etc.). Then you will warm up and get in the water and practice.
We use soft-top surf boards with plastic fins for maximum safety with all beginners. You may also find a wide selection of boards including: Surftech, epoxy polyester boards, tuff lite, takayama, long boards, short boards, high performance boards, evolutionary, malibu, and fish style boards.
After your lesson you are welcome to keep the board to practice for the rest of the day at no additional cost.
For intermediate and advanced lessons may we suggest a surf videographer and evening review of your session as part of the lesson.
